Bubblemaker PADI

Children 8 years old, who can’t get enough of being in the water, and want to spend some time under the water can experience breathing of scuba diving. There is a statement of understanding and small medical questionnaire to fill out by the Child and his/her Parent. Once this is completed there is a brief explanation by the Instructor about the basics of diving — what will be done and how it will be done — to ensure safety at all times. After that it is off to the swimming pool for fun and games with full Scuba equipment accompanied by the Instructor in maximum 2 meters depth for about 20 minutes. A certificate of accomplishment is offered to successful Bubblemakers!

Discover Scuba Diving PADI

Anyone 10 years old and upwards can participate, and in about 4 hours you will have taken your first breaths underwater with scuba diving. After registration and completing a medical questionnaire, there is a half hour theoretical explanation by the Instructor who will go over the basics of pressure, equalization, breathing and function of the equipment. After that, four different skills will be practiced in shallow water so you are more confident and comfortable with being and breathing underwater. Then the real fun begins the normal dive of about 35-40 minutes, accompanied by the Instructor on one of our selected dive sites to a maximum depth of 12 meters!!!

Discover another world.

Explore the island´s reefs in waters with visibility of 30 to 40 meters, experience the rich colorful marine life & watch the sun rays diving into the endless blue!

DIVE LOCATIONS

The Cave

scuba paros

We moor the boat on the South coast of Panderonisi, an Island situated between Antiparos
and Paros.

Dropping down to 14/16 metres, we swim along the wall, encountering Morays, many small fish and the occasional Barracuda.

There are 3 entrances into the cave, and the divers experience dictates which we use. Once inside, after a safety stop, you surface inside the Island and then you can enjoy the inside of the dome.

Torches are provided, but there is enough light coming in from the main entrance to show you the Stalactites, anenomes clinging to the rock face, strange calcium formations and many other features of this wonderous cavern.

Express Samina

scuba paros

MS Express Samina sank on the evening of 26th September 2000 with the loss of 82 lives. Lying on it’s starboard side at a max depth of 35 metres, this intact wreck stretches for 115 metres.

Swimming along the outside, we usually encounter an inquisitive school of Amber Jacks, and along the “top” small Flaballina’s can be found.

Diving from the stern along to the bow and back to the anchor line, we pass along the top deck, where the bench seats are located and then peek inside the car deck, where the lorries and cars lie. Lifeboats, tables and many other items litter the sea bed, playing testament to the tragic sinking of this vessel.

Bubble Reef

scuba paros

The dive starts on the plateau which is at 5 meters depth. Following the drop-off to 18meters we find a narrow canyon where we swim along and come out in a field of posidonia.

Along the dive we will see small sandy bottomed caves covered with corals and sponges .Few meters later a beautiful cavern with colorful walls waits us to discover its hidden treasures in its tiny holes. Here the rock formations have created a huge hole where the sun rays pass through.

The cavern will lead us to a cave where will see a school of small colorful fishes hovering. Our ascent will be done through the ceiling hole into the sun rays. On the way back we’ll see bubbles coming out of the reef’s pores. A mystery to solve. Clams, scorpion fish, octopuses and lobsters are common.

The Shipwreck

scuba paros

The 25m long shipwreck sits upright at 30m depth from 1960′s.

As you descent into the blue, you see the shadow and a big pipe lying on the center of the wreck. The great visibility gives you the opportunity to explore the wreck and discover it’s secrets. Next to the wreck, rock formations are ideal to finish the dive.

The Stingray Point

scuba paros

After the descent along the boat’s line we swim to the reef’s edge ( 5 meters ) , enjoy the view and then descent to 20 meters and swim along the wall. Thousands of small fishes swim close to the wall and around us while we looking for the visit of tunas and stingrays. At 25-30 meters (advanced divers) we can look at groupers and lots of anthias. The dive site is called “stingray ” because on this site we see sometimes a huge stingray.

Canyon

scuba paros

As soon as we descent we start swimming through canyons ( the main attraction of the site) and big rocks that hide lobsters, octopuses, morays and cray fish.           This dive site has plenty of marine life and a hill that slopes down to a large area covered with posidonia and rocks.

Cathedral

scuba paros

Incredible rock formations, and a wide swim through “The Cathedral” with white sand bottom and walls covered with hundreds of colourful sponges is the main attraction of this site. Here we light the torches enjoy the colors and watch the fish swimming out in the blue.

Barracuda Point

scuba paros

On this site scuba diving you have very high chances to see big schools of barracudas…They come very close to divers and swim around us during the dive. Tunas are very often seen and rarely sword fish and turtles

Pinnacle

scuba paros

A reef close to “Barracuda point” rises from the great depth to 12meters. At 20 meters there are walls, big rocks and a small canyon. Around its walls we see thousands of small fish and very often barracudas, groupers and stingrays.
